when she scored a last-stride win in the Cloverlea Plants Plus 3YO & Upwards Maiden Plate over 900 metres at Tapeta Park Spreyton today.
With Victorian apprentice Talia Rodder aboard, Argentogris powered home to grab race leader Gee Gee Cry Baby in the very last stride to win by a nose with Chipofftheoldblock 1-1/2 lengths away third.
It was Argentogris’ third start for the Charlie Goggin-Luella Meaburn training partnership since arriving from Ne South Wales as an unraced three-year-old.
The filly opened her account with a second at Tapeta Park and went into this latest assignment on the back of a luckless fourth in Launceston in January 18.
Argentogris (Flying Spur-Casigris) was bred by Bruce Neill, a long-time stable client of Charlie Goggin.
