IT’S taken Beejay Lomar a while to hit his straps but now that he has mended his box manners wins should come more frequently.

Beejay Lomar notched his third win in succession when he accounted for a handy grade five field over 461 metres at Tattersall’s Park in Hobart last Thursday night.

The Gary Johnson-trained dog won two grade fives in Launceston before leading almost all the way at his latest outing.

Beejay Lomar (Meticulous-True Shine) took 16 starts to break through but it appears the penny has finally dropped.

His box manners have improved out of sight and his time of 26.39 was not far off the best of the night (26.22) recorded by The Len Howard-trained Wild Weekend in a grade five.
