STAR four-year-old mare Bel Price kept this season’s unbeaten record intact when she powered her way to another impressive win at Tattersall’s Park in Hobart on Sunday.

Bel Price is being set for the Bow Mistress-Vamos Stakes feature mares’ double and this latest win has given her trainer Vicki Rhind even more confidence going into those races.

Bel Price (Jason Maskiell) settled fourth on the rails behind race leader Hold Onto Your Hat (Rhys McLeod) while Blue Light sat outside if the leader with Tap It In one-out and one-back and poised to pounce.

At one stage it looked as if Bel Price would be hemmed in on the fence with nowhere to go but when the leader shifted off the rail on the home turn Maskiell urged his mare through the gap.

Bel Price hit the front and went on to hit the line a length clear of Hold Onto Your Hat that fought on gamely while Los Skybo rattled home for third.

Los Skybo missed the start and lost three lengths so her run was outstanding given the circumstances.

Bel Price will go to the $150,000 Group 3 Bow Mistress (1200m) in Hobart on February 3 and depending on how she is after that assignment Rhind says she is likely to progress to the $100,000 Vamos Stakes over 1400 metres on February 20.
