HELLO BENNY has been trying to break his maiden status for some time but he finally broke his duck with an emphatic win in a juvenile event over 461 metres in Hobart last Monday night.

From six starts prior to Monday night’s win he had been paced five times sop it was a deserving and overdue win.

Hello Benny is by last year’s leading sire in Tasmania Where’s Pedro from Tash’s Way and is trained at Richmond in the south of the state by Margaret Rossendell.

Hello Benny made light of wearing the green vest and sped straight to the front when the lids flew back.

Once on the lure he sped clear and went on to score by almost six lengths from Stylish Abbey with Wynburn Power two lengths away third.

Hello Benny stropped the clock at 26.55 which was a fair effort on what was rated a slow track.

Stylish Abbey made up good ground in the home straight after copping an early check and Wynburn Power isn’t far off winning a race.
