RISING star Bergermeister extended his winning record in Hobart to six from seven when he powered his way to an impressive win in the TGOTBA Division One final over 461 metres last Thursday night

Bergermeister began fairly from box five while his archrival Sultan’s Swing flew the lids from box three to find the rail and lead by two at the 340-metre boxes.

But when Bergermeister slipped into overdrive he sped to the lead and gave nothing else a chance as he sizzled up the home straight to score by a comfortable margin from Sultan’s Swing with Innisfree Miss a distant third.

Bergermeister is prepared at Magra by Mick Stringer who is taking the youngster to Melbourne for a crack at the Maturity series at The Meadows later this month.

Bergermeister has won eight from 12 for almost $11,000 in stakes but he is capable of at least doubling that on his upcoming interstate sojourn
