BRIGHTON trainer Eric Jacobson is no stranger to winning feature races and at St Marys today he is quietly confident his handy gelding Billabong Bertie can give him his first St Marys Cup.
Billabong Bertie is a last-start winner at Tattersall’s Park so he takes good form into the assignment.
The gelding’s form this time in has been good with his first three starts producing minor placings.
He was impressive in winning last Sunday night and Jacobson says the gelding is a good standing start horse.
