The George & Eileen Puppy Championship (R6) takes centre stage at the North West Greyhound Racing Club’s meeting this afternoon. Boston Heart trained by Russell Watts jumps from two and will be very hard to beat if he can match his Best of the Day run in his heat of 25.57 last week.
Breaker’s Tip jumped brilliantly last week and may have needed the run after a short illness, and he looks the hardest to beat while Medhurst’s Hobart Young Star Classic winner Get It Right will have his fair share of admirers.
Lou James (R7) looks a great each way proposition for Richmond’s Margaret Rossendell although he will need his fair share of luck from the inside. Prepost favourite Underground was a shade disappointing last week but will be Lou’s main opponent while Heliski and Great Taylors could both salute without surprising.
Whitford Miss (R8) flew the boxes last week and again should be each way odds in a very strong Invitation lineup. Trained by Burnie’s Ian Johnstone this daughter of Bit Chili does everything right in her races. Quick Advance missed the start last week but will be very hard to hold out if he corrects that habit today while kennelmate Roxy Rhythm could be value for the multiples. Oxley Rimfire has made his way through the grades very quickly and punters should wait and see how he performs today in open company.
