Buzza the Punter (R1) for Broadmarsh trainer Keith Nichols should start punters off on the right foot at Hobart on a strong eleven event program at Elwick tonight. At his debut this son of Bombastic Shiraz ran a close second to Hello Knocka last week and with Set Choice scratched due to winning on Tuesday he has a solid chance to score his maiden victory.

Norwest Maggie for Devonport trainer Larry Tanner is due for a change of luck and will be his main danger while Big Pippy Leigh is one for the multiples.

The Gary Johnson trained Megalith (R2) hasn’t had a placing in his last four starts but this race is far from the Gold Collar Final at Launceston on Monday Night where he ran a solid race for 4th behind Diavlo.

This son of Bit Chili is still learning but a repeat of his second behind She’s All Class at his last start here would be enough to get him the money and at $9 prepost should be great value.

The Betfair Gold Cup Final should be a terrific race with Rewind (R7) looking for his eighth straight win at Hobart.

Best Bets: R1 No 5 Buzza the Punter, R7 No 6 Rewind, R8 No 8 Martello Towers.

Best E/W: R2 No 5 Megalith, R3 No 8 Canadian Bay, R9 No 2 Impeccable Lad.
