SPREYTON trainer Adam Trinder predicts a bright future for hi two-year-old California Wish after she scored an impressive trial win over 700 metres at Longford today.

With the trainer also in the saddle, California Wish (California Dane-Pirate’s Sirene) settled second behind the striking Elvstroem filly Monastroem but when Trinder eased his filly from behind the leader to challenge in the straight she moved alongside the leader and hit the line a long neck clear with Oscar’s Law four lengths astern.

The bay filly was purchased at last year’s Tasmanian Magic Millions Yearling Sale for $7000 by Gary Richards and Gary Mudgway who also have enjoyed success recently with Kid Kobe that won the Carbine Club Stakes in Hobart on Derby Day.
