TALENTED young harness racing trainer Justin Campbell has a knack for revitalising the careers of rejected racehorses and in Hobart on Sunday night he showed yet again what perseverance can do.

Tinted Crest gave her rivals a pacing lesson on her way to an emphatic win in a 3YO and older race for non winners over 1609 metres.

Tinted Crest made light of her second-row draw (10) to haul in the leaders in the home straight and go on and score comfortably from Champagne Bobby and Trump Lady with Rainbow Of Colours flashing home to grab fourth.

Campbell has only had the filly for about four months but in that time he has totally changed her training regime and believes the mat be more wins in story in the coming months.

Tinted Crest is owned and raced by Michael and Janine Stubbs in partnership with Mandy Elphinstone who sent the filly to Campbell as a last-ditch effort to make her a winner and enhance the broodmare’s (Golden Crest) value.
