Canuck (R3) is well boxed in the pink and should run well at each way odds at tonight’s Launceston meeting at the Tote Racing Centre. Trained at Flowery Gully by Mick Louth this Dyna Lachlan pup has had just the twelve starts for the one win but has shown glimpses of ability. He usually shows some speed and will be hard to run down over the short trip if he gets on the bunny. Shadow Hammer and Your Nothin’ look his main opposition.
Real Caution (R6) again looks to have a winning chance boxed in three. Also from Dyna Lachlan he had very little luck last week after running Hellyeah Bolt to a length a fortnight ago and if he leads could be very hard to catch. Medhurst will be looking for a good night with Spring Fall also having a good chance in the last.
Varcoe (R7) again looks a class above this grade 4 field having won the Group 2 Launceston Cup back in February and just didn’t get into the race last week. Punters will follow up and this son of El Galo will be very hard to beat. Nicnac Norris and Senor Slamma look best for the multiples.
Silly Lucy looks unbeatable over the 600m journey in Race Five.
