A MINOR placing behind last week’s Young Star Classic winner Place Your Bet is good enough form to suggest Educated Cash cam emerge triumphant in the opening race on the 10-event card at Tattersall’s Park in Hobart tonight.
Educated C ash has only had two starts in the state for top mentor Mick Stringer with two minor placings the result.
The black dog has shown good track sense at both of his Tasmanian outings and while he must contend with box five tonight he is up against a field riddled with first starters that are unknown quantities.
Hollyheath (David Crosswell) was an impressive winner in Launceston 10 days ago clocking 30.27 in winning her juvenile over 515 metres and from box one tonight she looms as the main danger to Stringer’s pup.
Gagebrook trainer Peter Higgins will be hoping his promising bitch Our Silhouette can make the most of a favorable box draw (3) and salute in the final race on the card, a grade five over 461 metres.
Our Silhouette won her juvenile at only her second start and followed up with a qualifying win but she ran into smart ones such ass Sour Pop, Riley Diary and recent Young Star Classic winner Place Your Bet at recent outings.
She only needs to begin well and get clear racing room to the top turn to be very hard to beat.
