BRIGHTON trainer John Luttrell will take a small team of six to the TOTE Racing Centre in Launceston tonight with Gee Gees Cashcard one of his top two winning chances.

Gee Gees Cashcard flashed home for second in Launceston four weeks ago at his first run this season and he followed up a week later with a game third in a race won by the highly promising Westering Home, beaten less than a half-length.

The grey gelding has better exposed form that all the others in the race that have raced and there is little trial form of the three first starters

Luttrell also expects his gallant open sprinter Heartbreak Kid to break back into the winner’s circle in the Launceston Golf Club Veterans Open handicap over 1400m.

The trainer says Heartbreak Kid is best suited to 1400 metres and the opposition the gelding faces tonight is inferior to what he has been facing at recent outings.
