Will tonight confirm the changing of the guard when youngster Nicholas Jack (R7) lines up again against the champ Rewind. Nicholas Jack leads 2-0 and a third win against Rewind would signify the crown has been wrestled off the veteran.

Has Rewind got a sub 26 second run left in him that is the question punters will need to answer. Nicholas Jack for Ted Medhurst has had nine starts in Tasmania for seven wins and continues his affinity with the spacious Hobart track.

Rewind has never finished further back than second here also, so the stage is set for the final countdown.

Adding to this fascinating contest is the flying Fulande and Shanlyn Flossy who will set a cracking pace early.

Lecture (R10) should make it a hat trick of wins in as many starts again from the kennels of Ted Medhurst.

At his first win here he recorded the smart time of 26.16and a repeat of that run would see him in the winners list again.

Hold On Coupe won nicely last week in 26.41 and should be his main opposition while Buckle Up Chalky and recent Launceston winner Bellwether look next best. China Lady and Teddy Tom Boy look a great quinella in Race 3.

Best Bets: R2 No 7 Club Foot, R5 No 7 Dilston Fencer, R10 No 2 Lecture.
Best E/W: R6 No 1 Zultan, R8 No 8 Cheergirl, R9 No 8 Shanlyn Johnno.
