Chief stipe job to be advertised

21 / 01 / 2010 Article by: Editor

RUMOURS have been rife over the future of Tasmania’s chief greyhound steward Amanda Hill.

Hill, who has held the chief steward position for the past six years, has not officiated at a greyhound meeting in Tasmania for over a month.

Speculation on her returning to the position has not been ruled out by officials but it is highly unlikely.

Hill’s contract was up for renewal last week and there has been no official announcement made on who will fill the position.

Racing Services Tasmania’s Director of Racing Tony Murray would not comment on the circumstances surrounding Hill not being reappointed but he did confirm the position is being advertised nationally.
