BEN ROSSENDELL has had his share of success in his first season as a trainer and he gets his chance to add another winner to his growing list of credit in the form of last-start winner City Babe that lines up in the first of six races at Tattersall’s Park in Hobart tonight.

The three-year-old filly led throughout last start at this venue two weeks ago and from gate two she should be able to muster enough early speed to find the front again.

City Babe has had four starts this preparation for three minor placings prior to her last-start win.

Tonight’s race is an open affair with as many as four genuine winning chances in the field of seven.

Terror Jones (6) has been placed at three of his past five and won well four starts back, while the Heath Szczypka-trained Helen Wheels won in Hobart two starts back and comes off a fourth to Avens in Hobart two weeks ago.

Avens won well but two starts back but failed at Devonport through the week and is on a four-day back-up.

Mon Soie resumes from a 10-week break and while drawn the outside of the front row (7) the mare is the class runner of the field and would only need to be saved for one last crack at them to be capable of winning first-up.
