Club Foot (R8) looks an anchor special for both the double and quadrella at the meeting at Tattersall’s Park in Hobart tonight.
Trained by Mick Stringer this son of Mogambo is in great form, evidenced by him stretching Hellyeah Bolt in last week’s Minister’s Gift final.
Club Foot will wear the red jacket in race eight which is the second leg of the daily double and last leg of the quadrella.
If Club Foot begins with them he should be too strong for his rivals as he has been mixing it with some of the best sprinters in the state of late.
Tan Tiki (R3) is a strong each-way prospect for Triabunna trainer Andrea McConnon.
The daughter of Talk’s Cheap has only had the two starts in Tasmania for two placings. Last week’s strong second behind Mar Mac caught the eye and although this is a hot field of Juveniles she should give a great sight for punters at hopefully good odds.
Shanlyn Vapour looks next best. Bell Oh Moss (R6) has not raced here since her blistering Juvenile win on Anzac Day but has been starring up North and has a win at the Meadows to her credit.
Boxed beautifully in the pink she will be very hard to run down.
Newcomer Party Monster is having his first start after wins at Maitland, Richmond and Gosford for Rod Ransley while Quick Advance will be hard to beat if he gets his own way early.
Best Bets: R3 No 7 Tan Tiki, R6 No 8 Bell Oh Moss, R8 No 1 Club Foot.
Best E/W: R1 No 7 Bit Hot Rusty, R7 No 2 Cointreau Cap R11 No 4 Palooka.
