Consistent juvenile Cointreau Cap (R1) looks hard to beat in the first of ten tough races for punters at Tattersall’s Park tonight.

Trained at Invermay by Eileen Thomas this son of Premier Fantasy has raced five times for two wins and three placings and box two should help him secure his first win here.

Hardest to beat is Shanlyn Johnno who is reported to have ability for Graeme Moate and Scrawny who will enjoy jumping from the pink.

Rewind is back in town and is looking for win number five in a row.

He now boasts 42 wins from 70 starts and has the advantage of his favourite box. Bracknell trainer Maurie Strickland would like nothing more than to have another tilt at the Hobart Thousand in December with his champion after a nose defeat last year.

His main opposition will come from November Digger and Gatty Com.

Sofia Elise (R8) for Margaret Rossendell has been unlucky at her recent starts and should be great value each way in the last leg of the Quadrella.

Best Bets: R1 No 2 Cointreau Cap, R5 No 1 Sonorous, R7 No 8 Rewind.

Best E/W: R3 No 4 Ascanius, R4 No 7 Where’s Hauky, R6 No 1 Shanlyn Flossy.
