A HEFTY investment of over $50,000 for a filly at the Gold Coast Magic Millions sale two-years ago could end up being a pittance of Come Follow Me develops as her connections expect in the next year.

Come Follow Me (Brendon McCoull) scored an impressive win at her first start this preparation in an 1100-metre maiden at Tattersall’s Park in Hobart today.

The filly, by Mossman from the Barathea mare Happy Play was an expensive buy and one that co-trainers David and Scott Brunton has been on tenterhooks about for the past year.

“We have been very patient with this filly because we really expect her to be a very good horse in about a year but today’s mission is now safely tucked away and we can plan to move into the next step,” Scott Brunton said.

The filly had three starts last season and was placed every time she started.

She was spelled and even though she was a bundle of nerves around the mounting yard today she delivered a professional performance on the track.

She is raced in partnership by a syndicate that includes Brunton and Gary Baker who has a number of horses with the Brunton stable.
