STAR Tasmania sprinter-miler Conquering will have his final hit-out in Tasmania in Launceston on Thursday night in readiness for his main target the Seymour Cup (1600m) to be run over 1600 metres in Victoria on October 17.
Conquering was scratched from last Sunday’s open handicap in Hobart but instead was given a private workout after the last race and he looked in magnificent order.
The gelding will line up in the open handicap in Launceston on Thursday night in which he will carry top weight of 65kg but Goggin says he is a definite winning chance.
