EXCITING two-year-old Colt Count Out proved he is the real deal with another track record breaking victory on the synthetic at Spreyton today.
Count Out debuted at Spreyton last Friday week to win, and break Rebel Bride’s long standing track record over 900 metres, and today the Aiden Nunn trained youngster repeated the dose, this time over 1000 metres in a strong Class One Handicap against horses of all ages.
With leading apprentice Ismail Toker aboard, Count One settled third – two lengths off the leaders to the home turn but when Toker eased his mount off the fence to challenge, the son of Tough Speed quickly hauled in the leaders and went on to score comfortably from Le Bel Opera and Jonolly Lass.
Count Out stopped the clock at 58.15 seconds to easily account for Tennessee Drive’s track record of 58.37 that he set in August last year.
Listen to what trainer Aiden Nunn had to say about Count Out’s latest win.
