Burnie trainer Allan Clark travels to Launceston in pursuit of success in the Clarkie Tyres Rising Stars heats on Monday night, with two strong contenders participating in the series.
Teddy Danger and Simply Danger both carry strong form coming out of the recent Ladbrokes Launceston Cup.
Both kennel mates from the Aston Rupee-Lily Lola litter have shown solid form over the 515-metre journey with Teddy Danger positioned in box five for the first qualifier as a $3.60 chance.
The red fawn chaser has won five races in his 20-race start career for Simon Milgate and Chelsi Gale, having recently saluted the judge here from box 1 running a sensational 29.49 seconds.
Middle draws have been his downfall, but he carries a considerable class factor against this lineup of sprinters.
Punters have backed Seaton, the Ladbrokes Chase winner for Mangalore trainer Ted Medhurst as the $2.60 favourite from box three, aiming for his eighth career victory in the event.
The Gold Collar winner, a son of Shima Shine out of My Desiree, boasts a record of three starts at this distance, achieving one victory and a personal best time of 29.99 seconds.
A wide-open field leads the second Rising Stars qualifying heat, with Simply Danger in box eight favoured at $3.50, followed by Buzzard Zorro and Is It Me, both at $4.40 respectively.
The first four placegetters from each qualifying heat will advance through to next week’s final in Launceston.
