INTER DOMINION hopeful Devendra faces a tough mark of 30 metres in the Tasmanian Horse Transport Show Cup (2200m) at UBET Racing Centre in Launceston on Sunday night but his liking for the track should enhance his winning chances.

Devendra is off the back mark while the horse that ended his winning sequence last start All I Can Be will start off 20 metres and should they both step cleanly it could well be the same result.

But Devendra has good early speed and provided he makes a clean start driver Todd Rattray will be keen to at least tack onto the main body of the field and maybe make a midrace move to put the Barrie Rattray-trained gelding into the race.

All I Can Be proved beyond doubt he is a sit and sprinter so his driver Mark Yole will be looking to find some cover early and be saved for one last shot at the leaders.

Talented mare Tessanzo (Gareth Rattray) is having her third run back from a spell and as she is usually safe from a stand she looms as one that can cause a boilover.

The Show Cup is race five (7.57pm) on the nine-event card.
