Pak And Wrap had not shown the potential of his slicker siblings but he has matured quickly with racing and capped his stellar rise with a powerful win in the J. G. Nelson Division Three final over 515 metres in Launceston on Monday night.

Pak And Wrap began well from box one to vie for the lead heading to the first turn.

He was headed by Cosmic Lie but quickly booted up hold off that challenge and then he shrugged off a determined bid from Sandy Pines all the way down the back stretch.

Once balanced for the run home he sped clear and went on to score comfortably from Sandy Pines with Amadeus Wolf a closing third and just in advance of Cheetah Zorro.

Pak And Wrap went into the J G Nelson series on the back of a win in a heat of the Hobart Club’s Breeders Classic series followed by a game third in the final.
