Victorian owner Justin Ebery had the choice of one pup from a litter as part of a payment arrangement with Tasmanian trainer Gary Johnson. The pup named Justin’s Dream was retained by Johnson to train and the son of Paddy’s Flame-cash Box made it three wins from his only four starts when he scored an emphatic win in a juvenile at Tattersall’s Park in Hobart last night (Thursday). Justin’s Dream debuted with a win in a juvenile at Devonport last month and after failing at his first outing on the Hobart circuit he delivered the goods in a juvenile over 515 metres in Launceston last Monday week. He backed up three days later to clinch his juvenile on the Hobart circuit. Johnson said Justin’s Dream showed promise from the outset. “He’s won his juvenile at all tracks and not every dog can to that so he obviously has ability,” Johnson said. “Justin’s (Ebery) grandfather owned the broodbitch (Cash Box) so as part of the deal when I bought the litter was that Justin got to keep one, so he’s done well,” he said.. Johnson has no special plans for Justin’s Dream. “We’ll just keep plodding along but the dog is improving all the time so we are hoping he’ll win more races,” he said.
