IN-FORM Tasmanian jockey Kim Moore celebrated an early double when she partnered the first two winners on the nine-event card at Spreyton today.
Moore partnered the Graeme McCulloch-trained Sheza Fatty Boomba to victory in the opening event, a maiden over 1150 metres and she followed up with a masterful ride aboard the John Blacker-trained Digger’s Dame to victory in a maiden/class one over 1650 metres.
“That’s a nice stat to the day and hopefully there’s more to come because I’ve got some nice rides,” Moore said.
Sheza Fatty Boomba was a deserving winner as the five-year-old mare had notched 11 minor placings from 37 prior starts.
“I couldn’t be happier,” said a delighted trainer.
Moore said Digger’s Dame worked into the race nicely and had a charmed run to the home turn.
