IN FORM greyhound Elite Enfield will be attempting to notch a hat trick of wins in the space of a week when he steps pout in the A & J Joinery Stakes (race 6) for grades 2 & 3 dogs at Tattersall’s Park in Hobart tonight.

Elite Enfield won an invitation race over 461 metres in Hobart last Thursday night and on Monday night in Launceston he demolished a handy field in a grade 3-4 event over 515 metres.

The Graeme Barber-trained dog by Knocka Norris from Lady Elsenheim has been very consistent in winning 11 and being placed 10 times from his 31 starts.

He has no genuine early speed but he is a tenacious chaser and while he will need a bit of luck from box six tonight he is in career best form and that could be enough of an edge to allow him to emerge triumphant.

The main dangers appear to be Hello Ay Jay, Underclass Hero and Pipstar with Frytson an outsider with a chance if he leads.

The best bet on the 10-event card looks to be Lisheen from box one in the last race (10).

Lisheen was last in a heat of the Illingworth Classic last Monday week in Launceston after striking interference at the first turn but before that he was impressive in winning two in succession.

He has good early speed and should only need to jump cleanly to win.
