The postponed thoroughbred meeting at UBET Park Hobart in late July, was a significant day not only because of the meteorological events. The race day was supported by leading Australian stud Eliza Park International (EPI) and marked the third day of a 3 day promotional event put on by the stud for its Tasmanian clientele.

Brent Crawford Eliza Park’s Marketing & Public Relations, described it as “an extremely successful weekend for EPI hosting around 30 Tasmanian clients for “A weekend away in Tasmania”.

Brent and Mark Lindsay started off in Launceston on the Friday visiting local studs including Brooklyn Park, Alva Stud and Grenville Stud. Finishing the day with a dinner for clients at Launceston’s revered Black Cow.

Saturday saw the EPI team escort their Northern based clients south to join their Southern counterparts for the Peppermint Bay Cruise.

“The capital accommodated with a beautiful day, weather perfect and the lunch was superb” commented Crawford. With the final leg involving a luncheon at Hobart the winter weather prematurely interrupted proceedings, but many guests still stayed around and had an enjoyable day.

“The Tasmanian breeding industry is so important to Eliza Park International and the mainland breeding industry. Last year Tasmanian breeders spent over $250k on EPI stallions alone” stated Crawford, “as a result we are more than happy to spoil our Tassie clients each year as they are extremely good clients of EPI”
