THE outcome of feature greyhound races can often be determined by box draw and that could be the case at Devonport today.

The field to contest the North-West Greyhound Racing Club’s Breeders Classic final over 452 metres boasts an even bunch of young sprinters with fast-beginning railer Droopy’s Jacket from the Gerald Mace kennel likely to start one of the favourites given he has drawn the coveted inside box (1).

Droopy’s Jacket finished second to Obstruction in their semi-final beaten 1-3/4 lengths but he was backed in to start the $2.30 favourite and it could be the same again as Obstruction is not the quickest beginner so from box two he might get squeezed out early in the race.

The most impressive semi-final winner was Supreme It Seems and while he is drawn awkwardly in box six he would win if he produced the form that saw him demolish his rivals last week.

Joker Jones (5) has also drawn poorly but he has been beginning well of late and if that happens today he will be a serious contender for the main prize.

Hello Nancy (3) and semi winner Buckle Up Kazu (4) have each-way claims while Hat Trick Babe can win if she leads from box eight.
