Lillycette (R5) only needs to repeat her sensational 25.90 heat win last week to win the Big Moose Laurels Final at Tattersall’s Park tonight. This daughter of Velocette has had three starts in Tasmania all here for two wins and a second and looks to have great box manners. Jumping from seven will give her the chance to be near the lead. Hardest to beat will be kennelmate Get It Right and the ever consistent Ireland’s Force.
The M A Morgan St Leger (R7) looks likely to be taken out by Senor Slamma. This classy sprinter trained by Gary Johnson has been building a following having won his last four starts by beginning quickly and blowing away his opposition. Bruny Venture and Boston Heart look the hardest to hold out while Rip and Tear is the x factor.
Silver Pierre (R2) should get punters off on the right note early. This young St Pierre pup trained by Joan Nichols ran a brilliant best of the day win at Devonport after a luckless debut run here. Jumping from two he should get on the lure early and be very hard to catch. Night Fusion and Hurricane Shell should be the main opposition.
Oh Joy (R3) is a true short course chaser and a brilliant beginner and is back to her best now and will take a power of beating.
