MULTI premiership winning trainer Charlie Goggin and his daughter Luella Meaburn celebrated their first win as a training partnership when smart filly Faith’n’courage scored a solid win in the Fairbrother Construction 3YO Maiden Plate over 1100m at Tattersall’s Park in Hobart.

Goggin has been one of Tasmania’s best trainers for the past 25 years and his daughter has been a part of the stable for the best part of the past two decades in between spending time overseas studying animal husbandry.

The partnership was registered early this month with Faith’n’courage their seventh starter as a registered partnership.

Faith’n’courage was ridden superbly by Stephen Maskiell who had the three-year-old filly settled midfield and then just off the pace turning for home.

When Maskiell called on the filly (Foreplay-Red Centre) for the supreme effort 200m out she set sail after the leader (Galibier) and grabbed victory right on the line

Reigning Tasmanian premier training combination David and Scott Brunton prepared the second, third and fourth placegetters in Galibier, Morell and All Day Sundae.
