TALENTED apprentice David Fisher has had his indentures transferred from the David and Scott Brunton stable to Spreyton mentor Mark Ganderton and the move has paid immediate dividends.
Fisher guided the Charlie Goggin and Luella Meaburn-trained Musique Player to victory in Launceston last Wednesday night and at Tattersall’s Park in Hobart last Sunday he partnered Ganderton’s consistent stayer Richoman to a deserving win in a benchmark 78 Handicap over 2100m.
Fisher produced arguably the ride of the night to get Musique Player home and while there wasn’t a lot to his ride aboard Richoman he went out with two game plans and had to use both.
The 21-year-old seems happy working and riding on the North-WestCoast and if he continues to produce efforts like he did aboard Musique Player and Richoman then the former Victorian could eventually outride his claim.
