BRIGHTON thoroughbred trainer Gary White will aim his talented two-year-old filly Flying Flo Jo at the upcoming Autumn Classics following her impressive maiden win at Tattersall’s Park in Hobart on Sunday.
It was an impressive performance from the daughter of Wilander (x Exceed and Excel) – Paristan (x Delago Brom) that showed great early speed to lead and when rider Bulent Muhcu called on her to extend she left her rivals in her wake.
She hit the line two lengths clear of Jonolly Lass with Crib Point over two lengths away third.
“She is a very nice filly that showed us a lot before she raced and to finally deliver is great for the owners,” White said.
Flying Flo Jo made her debut in Launceston in a maiden event over 1100 metres but the occasion was a bit too much for her to handle and she finished fifth to Toothless but she was far from disgraced.
