We head up to the north-west coast for a feature night of racing at the Devonport Showgrounds with the four-year-old Sire Stakes Final taking centre stage.
The Granny Smith Final is the first of them and we see Still Hungover look to make it back-to-back Sires wins. After her Prelude win, she showed she is back to her best and has a clear class edge on her rivals but does draw inside the second row which is not ideal. Over the long trip though she will get every chance to get off and prove too classy.
The Raider Stakes Final is much more open with the Steve Lukac-trained Donny in Paris coming right into calculations after drawing the pole as he will look for an all the way win but the talented duo of Mister Gently and Resurgent Storm are sure to take plenty of holding out. Then include the Todd Rattray-trained pair Jocund and Jigamaroo who are not without a chance with the right trips in transit and then we throw in the Leigh Rand-trained Pardoe Plugga who was impressive last week when well backed.
The better bets on the card are Racketeers Boy in the second race and follow that up on Still Hungover in the Granny Smith Final.
