We head to Hobart for a six-event card on Friday evening with the prelude of the Tasmanian Light Harness Cup being the feature and has brought together a capacity field.
Earl Jujon comes off the 30m backmark which won’t be easy, but he has been racing the best in the State and has acquitted himself admirably so as long as he steps cleanly, he can win. He will face stiff opposition from a couple of quality mares in Still Hungover and Blame it on Me who will be looking to put their hand up as leading contenders for next week’s final. Smart 3YO Sharmey takes on his more experienced rivals but gets the front line so if he steps, he can give them something to chase.
The mobile trot is the last of the night where the Rod Ashwood-trained Beau Garcon will be looking to make it a hat-trick of wins but if a couple of main rivals trot away safely, they can make a race of it especially Magic Owens and the old fella Cold Crusher who will be looking to bounce back to winning form.
Best Bets: Race 1 – 4. Eye See Double, Race 6 – 4. Beau Garcon
Quadrella: 2, 11, 12, 13 – 7, 8, 9, 11 – 1, 2, 4, 8, 12 – 3, 4 $40 flexi 25%.
