It was great to see young journeyman Sam Clotworthy get his first career win when he drove the Ben Yole-trained Nancys Baby a treat, producing a career best performance to win easily in a slick 1:58 last week.
Wes Targett trained his second winner when Wandary Muscat was given a pearler by Johnny Walters which was the second of four winners for the weekend.
Capitallee is clearly the best of the night on Friday if running up to last week’s win and Armchair Drive looks very hard to beat in the trot.
The best value comes up in the last with Wandary Muscat looking to go back-to-back with the best roughie being Spooky Girl in race four who trialed well before her debut run last week when she raced much stronger company than what she faces here.
