We come off a big weekend of harness racing where there were many highlights.
Blackbird Power made it back-to-back victories for the weekend after a narrow win on Friday he put up a powerhouse display on Sunday night beating some quality opposition when sitting parked for the trip.
It was great to see Telmax Nikita get a well-deserved win for trainer Ivan Belbin when he kicked back in the closing stages for a strong win.
Heath Woods kept his great season going when his 2YO filly beat the older horses to bring up her first career win and looks capable of more to come.
Kivik was the longest priced winner of the weekend, facing the starter for the first time for astute horsewoman Rachel Williams who does a great job with her small team, stable driver Ben Parker rating him to perfection in front.
Taylor Ford got a training and driving double with her two runners Belligerence and The Thug winning impressively.
We head to Hobart for a big 10-race card and see some exciting clashes with the likes of Salvator Mundi and The Shallows going into battle in race four.
The following race is a stand start for the open class pacers where Ryley Major will be looking to get back into the winners list, but it won’t be easy off his 30m back mark and will face stiff opposition from Scooterwillrev and company.
