We head to Hobart for a nine-event card on Sunday evening with the two features being the Sires Produce for the three-year-olds and the Brighton Cup for the open class pacers.
Lancelot is an above average 3YO who will be looking to kick of his preparation with a win in the Sires Produce where he looks perfectly placed but he will have to beat a two-pronged attack from Brighton trainer Mark Reggett’s stable with the impressive Denwen Dancer also resuming and looking the danger along with his stablemate Lets Go Bill who won nicely last week in easier company.
Star mare Blame it on Me will be looking to capture her first open class win when she lines up in the Brighton Cup and after an impressive win, she looks very hard to beat with Cool Water Paddy appearing her main danger but they will both need to begin safely off their 10m handicaps with Earl Jujon also among the leading chances.
We come off a seven card at Launceston last week where leading trainer Ben Yole continued his good season, training a quartet of winners to take his season tally to 76.
Lancelot looks one of the better bets in the first of the night for Todd Rattray, but he could easily make it two wins for the night when Magic Joe steps out in the 2YO race where he looks hard to beat from the draw.
Kuyomi resumes in the fourth race of the night and gets the perfect draw to bounce back into the winners list.
Tarleton Riley should get out to good odds and is worth a few dollars each-way along with the Rohan Hillier-trained Raining on Ringo in the following race.
A couple at odds are Reign of Pain in race three and Pink Ponder in the sixth race of the night.
