We head to Launceston on Sunday for the Australian Female Drivers Championship which brings two of the best female reinswomen from each state after a huge Tasmania Cup night meeting in Hobart last Saturday.
The Victorian dynamic duo includes the Queen of Australasian Harness Racing Kerryn Manning along with possibly her heir apparent in Kate Gath who has had an amazing last few years. They head a line-up which include sisters Danielle and Narissa McMullen from Queensland, Danielle Hill and Lisa Ryan from South Australia, Emily Suvaljko and Jocelyn Young from WA, Ashley Hart and Steph Lippiatt from NSW along with our two local drivers Hannah Van dongen and Sam Gangell so all the best to the drivers in this prestigious series.
Dean Braun has a couple of very short priced favourites going around so we will look for a bit better value.
Helikaon should bounce back and is worth a play at $2.30 or better and if Earl Jujon runs up to his latest form, he also looks one of the better bets.
War Chest will be double figure odds but looks a good gamble with Kate Gath on board.
The Crimson Prince gets his chance in the last at around the $4.50 mark.
Best Bets: Race 5 – 6. Helikaon, Race 6 – 9. Earl Jujon
