LONGFORD trainer Aiden Nunn celebrated his second winner as a trainer when the only horse he has in work, From The Bronx, scored an impressive win in a 3YO & Upward Maiden Plate over 1150 metres at Tapeta Park Spreyton today.
From The Bronx (Anthony Darmanin) settled last but came home with a wet sail to score by over a length from Markov with Mary Lil over three lengths away third.
It was an overdue with for the three-year-old gelding that arrived at Nunn’s stables as an untried gelding about six months ago.
It was his fifth start but he had put the writing on the wall by finishing no further back than fifth at his three previous outings.
From The Bronx was well handled by Darmanin who was a late riding change after Justin Haitana was refused entry onto the course owing to him being placed on the forfeit list as a result of him being in default of a fine payment, dating back to March, as stated by chief steward Wade Hadley.
