The Devonport meeting on Tuesday afternoon features recent track record breaker Penny’s Roman (box 8) contesting the City of Devonport Cup (race 7) in what will be a fantastic contest. The other contenders are litter and kennel mates Droopy’s Jacket (box 1) and Droopy’s Dasher (box 4), track specialist Senor Slamma (box 7) who won his 19th race around the Devonport circuit here last week, the very smart Locknane Eve (box 3) and Penny’s Roman brilliant sister Katey Roman (box 6). The best bet on the 11 event card looks to be in race 5 where the very talented youngster Grouse (box 3) trained by Russell Watts might be a bit too good for his rivals.
