We move to the States north this week to Launceston which is a very spacious track in where most runners get every chance. Ben Yole continued his great season with a quartet of winners to take a commanding lead in the Trainer’s title. One of the real highlight’s was the return of Jaruzelski Leis who returned from a two and half year layoff due to injuries and did he make a statement. Mark Yole continued his great season as well to extend his lead in the States driver’s title with a treble.

RACE 1 : 5:35pm MICKS FRUIT AND VEGIE SHED STAKES 2200M
This is a race for the fillies and mares to start the night’s racing. ITZ GEMMAS DELIGHT (8) has returned in good order although this will be a bit stronger than last she will take plenty of beating as draws to get a good run through early. KARALTA STARDUST (7) will find this slightly easier than last couple of runs. She has drawn the top of the track so will look to push forward early which will give her the best winning chance. TELL MIA STORY (6) hit the line well last start so if she can get a similar trip here has to be kept safe. DAYS LIKE THIS (5) was heavily backed last start when galloped out so will pay to forgive. She draws the middle of the track but if gets the right trip will be in the finish. HEY JO (2) , TIZ A SHAKER (2) and MISS GUENEVERE (4) who is resuming has to be kept safe.

RACE 2 : 6:07pm JUBILEE BAKERY PACE 2200M
This is a very tough race with numerous chances. FAWZIA (5) was the standout two year old filly of her season but didn’t show her best as a three year old. She resumes here from a front line draw so will pay to keep very safe. CARDINAL FINN (3) has been thereabouts of late and draws to advantage so look for him to be thereabouts. PARWILL (9) was driven a treat to win last start. He draws to get a good run through early so has to be kept safe. SMILETURNER (4) is another that has been racing well of late and grows a leg in front so if he can spear to the lead will give them something to chase. AUGURAL (6) has been hitting the line well at his past couple of starts so with any luck from the wide draw can win at odds. KARALTA DELUX (8) is a consistent type who draws to get a cheap run on the pegs so is a must for the exotics. COURAGEOUS JAMANE (2) is a well related first starter who draws well so will pay to watch the market. BUSTED (10) and JIMMY DE PANDA (11) are next best.
TOP PICK : FAWZIA (5) is the hardest to beat but be wary if short odds.

RACE 3 : 6:43pm DAKIN REFRIGERATION STAKES DIVISION ONE 2200m
This is a race for the C1 class pacers. SULTAN FELLA (1) is a very promising three year old who is going through his classes. He draws the pole here so is the leader and clearly the hardest to beat. CEMENTO RAPIDO (8) draws to follow everywhere he goes so has to be kept very safe. FREYDE (4) resumed with a very good effort after doing all the work and only being run down on the line in good time. She draws a touch tricky but with the right trip can prove dangerous. ZUMBA BROMAC (7) was beaten at very short odds last week when had her chance. She will have to go back from the draw and will be relying on getting a cart into the race if this happens will finish strongly. OLIVERS MATE (13) was in career best form before a freshen up. He draws outside the back row so will need plenty of luck but can figure if gets the right trip. BONES JONES (2) is having his first start in the state and draws well so will pay to keep safe. EKTORAS (5) , ANOTHERMETRO (6) and JETCRAFT (10) are all racing well and can run into a place at odds.

RACE 4 : 7:12pm MCKILLOPS INSURANCE BROKERS PACE 2200M
This is a pretty handy C2 only. XBOLT (1) was very well rated last week when leading throughout. He grows a leg when leading so will be hoping to hold up early and is clearly the hardest to beat. DEVILOF TYNE (2) is a real speedster from the arm so I’m sure they will have a look for the first 300m and if he was able to get across will run a race. BAROOGA BUSTER (8) is the horse with the most scope in this race but draws inside the back row as he normally likes putting the pressure on. He will be hoping to get off at some stage and if he could work to the chair he can prove too strong. SIGN NO MORE (5) is shooting for a winning hat-trick and has been impressive winning her past two so has to be kept very safe. RED SUN BLISS (3) and MY KODA KASPER (6) will strip fitter for their first up runs so has to be include in all exotics.

RACE 5 : 7:49pm UBET RACING CENTRE PACE 1680M
This is a very tricky C3/C4. ANGEL OR DEMON (4) was very impressive when resuming. She is sure to be fitter for the run and draws to advantage so is clearly the one to beat. IM FULL TILT (5) had every chance in that same race when running second. He draws to push forward early so will get his chance. KARALTA DAZZLER (8) has been low flying on the country cups circuit this season. He draws inside the back row which is not ideal for him and even the trip. If he gets a crack at them he is sure to be finishing strongly so keep very safe. WATCH THIS SPOT (6) didn’t have the best of luck last week when got checked. He has drawn wide so will need lucky early but an improved showing wouldn’t shock. ONEMORELAUGH (11) is an opportunist who will be suited if they go hard up front so is one at odds with the right trip. PUNT ROAD DISCO (7) is well graded here but draws poorly over the mile so place look’s best. CARDINAL ART (1) , KINGS LAW (9) and IN HOUSE (13) are all capable of running into a minor placing at odds.

RACE 6 : 8:23pm LAUNCESTON DISCRETIONARY 2200M
This is the discretionary in where two horses look very well placed from the handicaps. OUTBACK MACH (4) was rewarded for his consistency when was driven a treat for a great win in the Devonport Cup. He is well suited here off the 10m so is sure to take plenty of beating. THE MAJORITY (7) is the other very well placed. He was very game running second in the Hamilton Cup before doing way too much work in the Devonport Cup in where he dropped out. He begins very safely from the tapes and if he can get around them early will take plenty of holding out. ALL I CAN BE (6) was much better last week when got beat in a very tight finish. He will be hoping for a good beginning and can win if this eventuates. TRULY BLISSFULL (1) is a bold front running type and is suited back to the 2200m trip. He will be hoping to ping on top and if they left him alone will give a sight. BLACK CENTURIAN (5) was very good in the Cup at his last start. He begins quickly so if can get through traffic early will give a good sight. OUR CHAIN OF COMMAND (8) is off the 30m back mark which takes care of his winning chances but can run into a place. ANICHOFHISLIFE (2) and TISU TOOTA (3) are both racing well and wouldn’t shock if they won.

RACE 7 : 8:52pm MAXFIELD DRILLING PTY LTD STAKES DIVISION TWO 2200M
This is a very tough C1. ONE MANS PASS (2) hasn’t had any luck at all of late. He draws ideally to race on the speed so will get his chance to get back into the winner’s stall. SAMMY SEELSTER (1) was a good winner at first local run. He will find this much stronger but look’s the leader so will give a sight. FUTURE PROMISES (12) is very well placed here despite the back row draw. He will be hoping to get a good trip into the race so will take holding out. DO IT FOR DAVE (9) was spotted hitting the line strongly last week so if runs up to that will be in the finish. CAMPAIGN DRIVE (11) was a good winner last start. He too will be hoping to get a trip into the race and will be finishing hard if it eventuates. ME MATE LES (8) draws to get the run he likes behind the speed so is a must for the exotics. UNION FORCE (5) , WIPETHESMILE (7) and MACFIRE (10) are next best.
TOP PICK : ONE MANS PASS (2) is a good gamble.

This is the claimer for the night. PHILTRA FELLA (7) has been winning most of the claimers he competes in of late. He is a very tough type so can do work in his races so is sure to take plenty of beating. RAJAH WEALTH (6) is another that races very well in the Claimers. He too can do plenty of work in his races so look for him to be up on the speed and that will give him a great winning chance. WESTERN KARAMEA (5) is new to claiming class. He is an opportunist that if gets the right trip will be very dangerous. PACIFIC SOUL (4) is always running on so is a chance if they go hard up front. MY GREEK MATE (3) was better last week when hit the line ok so is a sneaky chance at odds. SKY TOWER (1) and PUSHKIN (2) are both capable of running a place at odds.

This is the last of the night. REAL RIVER (3) was a very good winner last start. He is a very handy type but will have to begin very quickly to get across and if he does it will take him alongway to winning the race. DELIVERTHEGOODS (2) does run the gate well and races well in front so if he can hold them out early will give a great sight. ORIGINAL ART (4) returns from Victoria where his form was much better than it reads. He has a tricky draw but if he gets a good trip can get over the top of them. CISKEI (6) is a pretty tough type and can do work in his races so wouldn’t surprise me if he went forward early so will pay to keep safe. ANOTHER JASPER (1) if he can take advantage of the pole he can give a sight at odds. DODGERMEMATE (5) is the other runner who at his best would be in the finish so is a must for the exotics.
