We head to Launceston on Friday night for a bumper ten event card. The first two will be on Sky 2 with the remaining eight on Sky 1 which is a huge coup for the State.
The meeting features three Heats of the time honored Harry Holgate Memorial which is always a very competitive Series.

This is the first of the card. MI MAKAROVA (2) is coming off a very good effort in the Granny Smith last week. She does have a bit of gate speed so is a chance she can find the top and if does will take plenty of running down. LITTLE BIT OF BIG (4) has been good in her brief career to date and comes off a very unlucky effort last week. She will push forward early so will get her chance to break through. DAYS LIKE THIS (7) returns to the Brian Stanley stable. She has been very disappointing since her two year old days but gets into a winnable race if produces anything near her best so will pay to keep safe. TIZ A SHAKER (1) draws to advantage here so will figure for the inform duo of Kent Rattray and John Walters. BRUSH WITH DANGER (3) and PLATINUM BELLE (6) are next best.

This is for the C4/C5 pacers. WILLIAMLEE (2) is very well placed in this line up. He has been racing very well and draws to roll forward to the top and then will look to dictate the tempo so is sure to be the hardest to beat. CATS AND DOGS (5) is racing very well and despite going better when he leads in his races. He will push forward but may to sit parked but still looks a hope. LITTLE JETHRO (3) has been racing well without luck of late. He can do a bit a bit of work in his races so with the right trip can be dangerous. LIKE IT IS (6) is in career best form winning three out of his last four so has to be kept safe despite the draw.

This promises to be a very competitive claimer. REGAL STRIDE (7) has won two out the last three claimers. He draws the top of the track so will be hoping to get the right trip to notch up another win. RAJAH WEALTH (4) looks well placed here by the draw. He will be hoping to take advantage and hold a forward position which will give him his best hope of winning. CENTONIC (9) has been racing well in these claimers of late. He draws to get a good run through early so is sure to be thereabouts. WESTERN KARAMEA (8) is a very handy sit/sprinter. He draws inside the second row so will be hoping to get a bit of luck in the run which will would see him finishing strongly. PHILTRA FELLA (5) will find this within his grasp from the front row draw. He can run the gate so look for him to push forward as well as that will take him a long way to get back into the winners list. PACIFIC SOUL (3) , OUR ARCHANGEL (6) and TISU TOOTA (10) are all very capable of being in the finish with the right trip in transit.

This is the first of three heats of the Harry Holgate Memorial. BISPING (1) has finally drawn a marble. He has been racing well from poor draws and comes up with the pole here. He should do enough to hold up so will get his chance to get back into the winners list. SUTTER MAN (8) should get a great run on his back which will give every chance as long as he gets a crack at them. BONA FIDE HUSTLER (7) hit the line very strongly last start. He draws the top of the track so will have to try and slot in somewhere which would give some hope if they run along upfront. OLIVERS MATE (3) had no luck last when resuming. He draws to be on the speed throughout so is sure to run an improved race. BE GOOD FRANKLIN (11) is racing in career best form. He draws out the back so will be hoping to get the right trip into the race which would make him dangerous. DAYRAID (6) is another that is racing well but will luck from the draw as well so place looks best.

This is a very open C2/C3. CAMPAIGN DRIVE (8) is racing in career best for at present. He draws inside the second row so will need a bit of luck to get off the pegs but if he does he is clearly the hardest to beat. BAROOGA BUSTER (11) is a tough type who will look to make this a staying test. He look to get into the race as soon as the speed slackens so is sure to take beating. ONEMORELAUGH (13) will be hoping to get a cart into the race which would give him an each way chance. SOO SPECIAL (10) is first up for leading trainer Ben Yole so will pay to keep safe. IM FULL TILT (12) gets his chance to improve in this line up. SIGN NO MORE (7) was game in defeat last week so if gets any luck from the wide draw can be dangerous. PUSHKIN (9) has drawn to get a good run through so is one at odds as is IDEAL DISTRACTION (2) who finally draws a marble. OUR PERCIUS (3), DEVIL OF TYNE (4) and UNION FORCE (6) are next best.

This is the second heat of the Harry Holgate and a very open one at that. ONE MANS PASS (7) has been racing well of late and deserves to notch up another win. He has drawn the top of the track so will be hoping to get the right trip into the race which would make him very hard to beat. RUSTY RED COMET (1) has been racing well for the new stable. He draws to lead from the pole and races best in that position so is sure to take plenty of running down. WITCH MASTER (6) is another handy type who was very good last week. He will need to get a bit of cover into the race and can win if this eventuates. PARWILL (3) beat RUSTY RED COMET (1) on his merits last time they clashed so has to be given a hope. IDEN MAKIN TIME (4) , FRANKIE FALZONI (5), LIVIA DEGEROLSTEIN (10), JIMBARAN (11) and SIGN OF ORO (12) are all capable of running into a place at odds.

This is the third and final heat of the Harry Holgate Memorial. MERSEY DELIGHT (5) comes off a game fourth in the Granny Smith last week in where she was hitting the line ok. She gets into the weakest heat so is sure to take holding out. GANGNAM DANCER (1) gets the draw he likes as he should be able to hold up early. So if he can pinch a good first half he will give plenty of cheek. ANOTHER CEEBEE (10) was well driven last start for a good win. He draws the back row so will need to get the right trip into the race which would give him a good hope. CHRISTIAN JAZ (12) has been racing without luck of late. He draws out the back so will need plenty here but can win if it comes. EKTORAS (7) had no luck last start when got checked. He is a capable type with the right trip so will pay to keep safe. CARD SHARK KIWI (3) and MAJORAMA (9) have been thereabouts so are a must include at big odds.

She is sure to be fitter that run so is sure to be a major player. SHADOW BLUE (5) was a good winner at her latest start. She has a bit of gate speed but don’t think she can get across so place looks best. THIS IS LOUIS (9) is the query runner as is first up for the Rohan Hadley. He is an ex Sandgroper so will pay to keep every safe. GAGGLE COORDINATOR (10) is another that has been racing well so if he gets the right trip into the race can be dangerous. JIMMY DE PANDA (7) is a horse that promises to win a race one night so you always have to keep safe at odds.

THIRLSTANE KING (5) has been racing very consistently and is sure to push forward early so will get his chance. KEN TWO STARS (6) will find this easier than his recent outing. He has to overcome the wide draw so will be hoping to get the right trip into the race which will make him very dangerous. ENTREEMAINDESSERT (7) was a good winner last time when got the good trip into the race. He will find this a bit stronger so place looks best. JUDYS JET (9) is shooting for the hat-trick so has to be included. GOGGO GEE GEE (8) will get a cheap run on the pegs so if the gaps open up can get into the money. OUR WORK OF ART (2) and KARALTA JAZZMAN (3) are next best.

METROSILK (8) was much better last week so if he gets any luck from inside the second row can be dangerous. JOHN PRESTON (5) has a bit of gate speed so don’t be surprised be if they try and get across early so is a must include for the exotics. FREELANDER (6) has had plenty of chances so place looks best. CHAMPAGNE KATE (7) can improve at odds here with the right trip.
