Bridport owner-trainer Richard Hall looks to be on a winner with Giant Valley scoring his fourth win in a row on Monday night at Luxbet Racing Centre in Launceston.

The stylish son of Lochinvar Marlow – Tiu Jet stepped straight to the lead from box 1 over the 278-metre dash and gave nothing else a chance, recording a scintillating 15.97 seconds.

The run was just two lengths outside Bulla Country’s track record time of 15.85 seconds on his debut over the trip is testament to the youngster’s undoubted ability.

Irish Moment made it two wins from three Tasmanian starts with a powerful victory over 600 metres in grade 5 company for Brighton trainer Blake Purcell.

Coming off a solid winning performance at Devonport last week, the Cosmic Chief – Scanty Miss chaser found the fence early from box 7 and railed strongly throughout to run down Black Rhino and score by a half-length.

Husband and wife team Ricky and Sonia Martin combined for a double on the card, Ricky training Fink Racer and Sonia applying the polish to Oliver Queen.

Tasracing Early Speed Map followers were aware of Fink Racer’s electrifying first split record and he didn’t let punters down, pinging to the front from box 4 to set up an all-the-way victory in 29.96 seconds.

Oliver Queen stormed home over the top of tearaway leader Free Spins to capture race eight, the final leg of the Quadrella.

The Fear Zafonic – Capetown Annie chaser began well from box 1 to sit third in the run through the first corner but found himself held up in traffic off the back stretch.

Oliver Queen finally worked into the clear and cut down the front-runner in the shadows of the post to notch up its second win on the track.
