The Ted Medhurst-trained Mauboy (R2) looks a sound each-way proposition to get punters off to a great start on a strong ten-event card at Tattersall’s Park in Hobart tonight.

Mauboy, a daughter of Go Wild Teddy, hasn’t much form on the board to recommend but she has had excuses in running fifth at her last two starts when bumped.

She started favourite at Devonport two starts ago which usually signifies she has shown ability on the trial track.

Burma Roo will probably start favourite and will be the hardest for Mauboy to beat while Colorado Coal also has been consistent and warrants respect.

Ultra White looks another with each way prospects in race four.

Bracknell trainer Maurie Strickland is confident that this dog has a future and he is maturing with every run.

This son of Cosmic Chief has had 11 starts for a win and five minor placings and wearing the pink vest tonight will enable him to find clear racing room.

It will be a frenzied affair as usual over the 340m so he will still need a touch of luck.

Roxy Rhythm and Teddy Tom Boy look like the best quinella of the night in the 2nd leg of the quadrella (R6) while Rewind (R8) is back in town and will be looking for win number 57.
Best Bets: R3 No 6 Seagull Boy, R8 No 1 Rewind, R10 No 2 Dilston Fencer.
Best E/W: R2 No 3 Mauboy, R4 No 8 Ultra White, R7 No 4 So Emotional.
