After heats over 600m and 720m over the past two weeks the final of the Spring Distance Medley should be a hard fought out affair with several chances.
Burnie mentor Sandra Elphinstone has the only greyhound to have won both of her heats.
Posh Will owned by Allan Clark has been impressive winning from difficult box draws and is poorly drawn again with Side Com and Hollyheath drawn either side of her.
Sandra also has Wynburn Jet nicely drawn in box one and he will run a cheeky race.
Side Com and Cheetah Zorro both prepared atBrightonby Brendan Pursell have good form and should figure in the finish. Disney Bound for Robin Stocks from Risdon Vale and the Anthony Bullock trained Hellyeah Trish will carry the hopes of the Exeter based mentor.
Whitemore trainer Leigh Wood has only had Able Lad a short time and he will be on the improve. Hollyheath for Bishopsbourne trainer Dave Crosswell may find the 720m too hard.
Two heats of the Gold Collar are programmed. Heat one sees Devonport Breeders Classic winner Cruising Bond clashing with the brilliant She’s All Class, which fell very heavily in the same race, and Diavlo.
In Heat two She’s A Boomer, Fair Change, Muckle Flugga and Fine Eagle appear to be the best chances.
The best bet is Calamity Free in race one. Trained at Mangalore by Ted Medhurst his form is very good and he will be suited over the 278m.
The value of the night is Rebel Days forLindisfarnetrainer Michael Richardson. Her last two runs on this track have been full of merit.
