ONE of Tasmania’s most revered footballers Ken Hall proved he has skills in another sporting domain when he partnered Rememberpreece to a convincing victory in Launceston on Sunday night.
Hall is a member of a great football family in Scottsdale on Tasmania’s North-EastCoast but his prowess at Aussie Rules now stretches to the harness racing arena.
The mature aged novice driver took to training after spending a few months helping out Bridport trainer Grant Hodges.
About two years ago Hall secured his trainer’s licence and more recently advanced to driver and Rememberpreece was his first winner.
He trains Rememberpreece for family and friends and those who were prepared to back him on Sunday night were rewarded as he paid $7.30.
The favourite Bulldozer found the lead and Rememberpreece had to chase him home from back in the field but when Hall pulled the plugs (ear deafeners) and let his charge rip he sprinted quickly and chased down the favourite to score by a half-metre.
