The Harness Yearling Website Page has been extended through to 31 March 2015 and all vendors can refer to recent racing to promote their yearlings.

Sue Streit raised and prepared Really Thirsty for the 2012 yearling sale where the filly was sold for $2,000. The (now) 4YO mare was having her fifth race start when she won the $10,000 Corrosion Technology Allen Williams Memorial Final at Devonport on Sunday night to take her career record to 5 – 2 – 1 – 1  – $13,080. Streit has a Tiz A Masterpiece – Step Up And Play filly ($8,500 reserve) on the page. Step Up And Play was a classy mare winning 12 of her 31 starts and her oldest foal is an unraced 2YO.

Patricia Dohnt has a half sister (Stonebridge Regal – Barringtonboutique) to the recent Burnie winner Boutique Art and another half brother, Fortino, has won three of his four race starts. Also, the filly is a close relative of Beautide (Bettors Delight – Gorse Bush) as both Barringtonboutique and Gorse Bush are daughters of the exceptional producer Barrington Lass who produced an Australian record 17 individual winners.

Lindsay and Christine Tatnell bred the recent Burnie winner Chrissymay Jamane, who reached $3,000 at the 2012 harness yearling and has now accrued approximately $12,000 in stakemoney and bonuses. This year, they are offering a Major In Art – Minden Miss colt (reserve $6,000), which is a half brother to prolific winners Blacks Back and Lateforlunch and a half sister, Twisted Miss, was sold for $4,500 at the 2013 sale and has already accrued approximately $12,500 in stakemoney and bonuses.

Scott and Christine Woods have listed three yearlings on the page and all are from handy race mares – Hippie Chick, Chick Rustler and Night In Vegas. Hippie Chick won eight races from 32 starts and is the dam of Chriscott (11 wins), Chick Rustler (5 wins and Willie Winalot (8 wins). The Jet Laag – Chick Rustler colt is the first foal for the dam and the Jet Laag – Night In Vegas filly is the second foal for the dam.

Cleone Hill has been involved in the breeding of many quality Tasbreds, including Quastor Centurion ($188,000) and Clamorous (9 wins), and she has four yearlings listed on the page. The Courage Under Fire – Mon Poppy Mary colt is a half brother to the 2015 St Marys Cup winner Black Centurian (11 wins and $65,878) and the dam, Mon Poppy Mary was an exceptional juvenile winning eight of her 12 starts. The family boasts three Tasbred Sires Stakes winners – Johnny Applesead, Quastor Centurion and Mon Poppy Mary.

Noel Salter has a long history of selling quality yearlings and the best recent example is Truly Blissfull who was knocked down for $10,000 at the 2008 yearling sale. Now an 8YO, Truly Blissful has won $122,982 and set a track record mile rate of 1:55.2 at Launceston on 1 March 2015. Noel has three colts listed on the page and all are priced below $10,000.

Lyndon and Gail Menegon have four yearlings on offer and relatives of two are racing well. The consistent Saloon In Sight ($51,090) rattled home for second at Hobart on Monday night and a half brother (Major In Art – El Jays Angel) has a $10,000 reserve. A bargain buy may be the Santastics Pan – Milady Veronica colt who is a half brother to Spot Eight who was impressive on debut behind the Maxfield pair, Blingittothemax and Sultan Fella at Devonport on Sunday night.

All yearlings on the page are Tasbred making them eligible for up to $10,000 in win bonuses.
