Two heats of the 41st series of Tasbred Bonus headlines the 10-race card in Hobart on Thursday evening.
As the name suggests, the series is restricted to Tasmanian Bred Grade 5 greyhounds with the first four placegetters qualifying for next weeks $2,240 to-the-winner final.
Heat one sees Canvas from the in-form Debbie Cannan kennel at the top of the market.
The Barcia Bale – Emerald Lee dog, has finished down the track at his last two outings but was a Devonport winner three starts ago on 27 October, when he showed good speed to settle in second position before getting the rails run at the top of straight to run away with the prize in 25.95s.
That win was the chasers second career victory, with his other success being in Hobart over the 461 metres in Grade 6 company back in late February when defeating Ava Wine by 3/4 of a length in 26.56
Stylish Hugh from the Tony Dawson kennel was runner up to Lola Lee last start and looks to be a strong danger from box five along with Tah Pam who is having her first start since mid-September in box three.
Ted Medhurst puts the polish on the Parkour in heat two from box six.
Parkour won a grade six-event in 29.93s in Launceston two starts ago and chased home Recall in the Gold Collar Final at his most recent outing on 9 November.
The Fabregas – Keune dog has a best time on the Hobart track of 26.10s, the quickest of any runner across the two hears.
The Anthony Bullock-trained Kaleidoscope Kid has won his last three in good fashion. The most recent win was in Devonport on 27 October from box eight, the same draw the chaser has on Thursday, while kennel mate Tah Nora from box one has won two of her last three and has good early speed.
Thursday night’s card commences at 19:28 with all races to be shown on Sky Racing 1 and TasracingTV.
