ASTUTE trainer Margaret Rossendell may have a future star in her kennel in the form of Hello Ay Jay that notched an impressive win in a juvenile over 461 metres in Hobart last Thursday night.
Hello Ay Jay debuted with a second to Pelican Point a week earlier but with that run under his belt he showed his true potential.
He flew the boxes wearing the pink vest and held sway at the top turn before spreadeagling the field in the home straight.
Hello Ay Jay went on to score by nine lengths from Bold Intention with Knox and Rattles almost two lengths away third.
The son of Big Daddy Cool-Wadelock Sal enjoyed being in the outside box and the 21-months-old pup delivered splits of 5.16 and 11.24 with an overall time of 26.22 that was the best of the night on what was a very slow track evidenced by the invitation winner clocking only 26.34.
